Partners adopt global strategic framework for malaria communication at Ghana meeting

Malaria meeting participants in Accra, GhanaC-Change/FHI 360 led the meeting of the 5-year Global Strategic Framework for Malaria held May 2-4, 2012 in Accra, Ghana. Thirty participants came from five countries (Ghana, Kenya, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Tanzania, and Zambia) and 13 partner organizations including FHI360, JHU/CCP, UNICEF, RBM, Malaria No More, Ghana Health Service, CDC, PMI, USAID/Ghana, PSI, IFRC, and Kenya Red Cross. 

Participants adopted the strategic framework, which describes complementary processes for mobilizing financial, social, and political resources to position communication as a core part of malaria control, particularly at the country level.  Read more

Dissemination meeting in Jamaica presents research findings on vulnerable populations at risk for HIV

Research report on Stigma and MSM in JamaicaJamaica’s Minister of Health Honorable Dr. Fenton Ferguson and USAID Mission Director Denise Herbol opened the C-Change research dissemination meeting held at the Wyndham Kingston in Kingston, Jamaica on April 25.The meeting was a forum to share findings from several studies on HIV prevention and vulnerable populations considered to be most-at-risk for HIV.

Findings will assist program planners in shaping their HIV prevention and communication programming for these vulnerable populations. Over 100 people attended. Read more
